‘What Will I Learn?
In this course you will learn and practice:
- What is Git and how to I use it
- To make a repository locally and on GitHub
- Make a commit and push it to GitHub
- Work together with another student
- Meet a merge conflict and solve it
Why Should I Come?
Git the de facto version control system. It will help to organize your work and enable you to collaborate with your fellow students. It gives you security to make bold changes, because it is easy to roll back.
What is the Date and Location?
It will be the the 12th of November. It starts at 16:30 and will go to 19:30. The course will be held on Fredrik Bajers Vej 7B, 9220 Aalborg Øst. The specific room will is TBD.
What are the Prerequisites?
If you are will and able, then the more people download both Git and SSH, the more time there is for actually using it.
Downloading Git is easy. Setting up SSH can be more difficult and requires both reading and using a terminal.
